"Wes" E. Somma, born to Lewis and Joyce Somma. A native of New Jersey, Wes attended Netcong H.S. Class of '73. He moved to California where he met the love of his life, Cindy Limbo. He lost a courageous 1 yr battle with pancreatic cancer on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009. He was an incredible chef and loved cooking for others especially his family and friends. He enjoyed dancing, working in the garden and celebrating the holidays in a big way. Wes was such a strong man and was never a quitter in anything he did. He put others needs ahead of his own and touched so many lives. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. A true prince charming. Wes is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Cindy Lembo-Somma; sons, Wes Somma (Ciji), and Shaun Lembo (Chelsea); daughter, Tara Smith; sisters, Sharon Rossi (Armand)and Ruth Pendolino (John); grandchildren, Kora and Addy Somma, Brandon Smith, numerous nieces and nephews and Bailey, his golden retriever companion.

Judy was one of my very first friends. She lived 3 houses up the street from me, and on the same side of the road, so I could visit her when I was first allowed to leave the yard. We were in each other's home and backyard many, many times. I remember holding Judy’s hand as her Mother walked us to school for our first day of kindergarten together. We were just about best friends in those days. When I told my Mother about Judy last week, she said, "Oh, that sweet little girl." She will Always be that.
ROXBURY -- Judith Ann (Puco) Hogan died at the Atlantic Hospice Inpatient Unit in Morristown on Feb. 6, 2008, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was 59.
Born in Morristown, she lived in Netcong for 27 years, prior to her marriage in 1976. She resided in Boonton Township before moving to Succasunna in 1983.
She was a business education teacher with the Hanover Park Regional School District for 29 years, teaching at Whippany Park and Hanover Park High Schools. She retired from teaching in 2007, taking the position of random drug testing program coordinator for the district.
She was a 1970, graduate of the College of New Jersey, formerly Trenton State College, with a B.A. in business education.
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, at 10 a.m. at St. Therese R.C. Church in Succasunna. Visitation Friday, 4-8 p.m. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 Route 10, Randolph. Interment is in Stanhope Union Cemetery in Stanhope.
In lieu of flowers, you may contribute to the Judy Hogan Memorial Scholarship Fund, for the students of the Hanover Park Regional School District, c/o Whippany Park High School, 165 Whippany Road, Whippany, N.J. 07881.
We weren't friends but she knew my name and I knew hers. She was a year ahead of me in school but we actually spoke to each other on a few occasions and we each definitely knew the others' family. That's all it took in 1963-64-65-66 in Stanhope-Netcong to be lifelong friends. I haven't seen or spoken or even thought much of Judy since some unremembered moment in the late '60s, but you and I will miss her forever. I offer my deepest condolences to those who were closer.

My brother, Phillip O. Steinmetz, Netcong High School class of 1948, passed away in Jacksonville, FL, on Jan. 20, 2008. He was 76 years old. He joined the Navy immediately after graduation, proudly served on three aircraft carriers and saw much of Europe, the UK, Saudi Arabia and Libya while in the military. He retired as an ATC from the Naval Reserves. He also retired from Civil Service after spending many years onboard NAS Jacksonville as the Supply Dept's Customer Service head. His wife Dorothy preceded him in death, in 1995. Phil had one son, Phillip R., who with his wife, Karla (Kennedy) and two sons, Drew and Brock, live in Woodstock, GA. Phil had two sisters, Marjory Steinmetz and myself, Joan McNeish. He loved to hunt, fish and fly. He was a wonderful person and thoroughly enjoyed life.
