As your site, netcongalumni.com, enters its' 7th year, we have learned enough to offer a new visitor-friendly website design. It will soon be possible and easy for you to upload your information, clips, photos, comments and creative materials to be displayed for all to see. We are adding security so nobody but the chosen few (NHS alummi) can get into our website. There will be a tutorial page explaining the things you'll need to know to add your input to the community site.
I'd like to thank our previous site master, Joe DiMaggio for his fine management of the site and welcome my sons and Ellen's nephews, Ken and Kristopher Glover and their company, ONE Advertising to the Netcong Alumni family as our new site managers.
If they screw up I can make them stand in the corner.
Merry Christmas, everyone.

I just read in the Daily Record today (Jan 25 ) that Joanne passed away on Jan 23. Our sympathies to her family.
Bob Popelka
To all-
I just read the website where Big Bob Popelka died. "Beef" was a good guy. I especially enjoyed the encouragement he gave me before the Senior Play, when just before I went out on stage, I wanted to "wet my pants" with nerves. He was a great guy. We'll miss you, Big Bob and I know you're in a better place. Right on, bro!

Updating things
Howdy, pardners-
I know it's been a few years, but I think it's time to get back in touch with people I once knew. I live in Colorado now in a southwest suburb of Denver. I left Stanhope in 1973, joining the Air Force and moved around quite a bit, going to "boot camp" in Texas, then school here in Colorado. I came back to New Jersey at McGuire AFB until 1975, when I went to Germany. I spent 14 months over there, then went to Illinois where I went to school to become a weather observer. Then, it was off to Griffiss AFB, New York up near Rome and Uitca. I went to school in Illinois again and became a weather forecaster. Then, it was off to Nebraska where I spent 15 months before heading off to South Korea. There I met the love of my life, Myong Suk. We were married over there and came back in April 1983. We spent 3 years out in California where my son, James Kim was born in 1985. In September, 1986 it was off to Germany again for a three-year tour there. We came back in September 1989 and went to Hurlburt Field, Florida in the upper Panhandle of Florida. There we stayed until I retired from the Air Force at the end of May, 1993 as a Master Sergeant (E-7). In July, 1993 I was offered a job out here in Denver, so out here we came and we've been here ever since. I guess military blood runs in the family as my son is joining the Navy in March. I've talked to a few people that I once knew and am wondering-is there a 40th year reunion planned in 2009? If there is, I'd like to be there. My e-mail address is bradtherad@comcast.net, so could someone from the old class of '69 let me know? My mother is still alive, but my dad died in 1991. My sister, Lisa lives in Cary, North Carolina. I hope to one day get back to the old "hood" and look up some people that I once knew. Let me know how some of you who knew me are, what you've been doing and what direction your lives took. I'm trying especially to locate Dave Piemontesi, Class of '74. My Christmas card came back not deliverable and unable to forward, so Dave seems to have dropped off the radar. Again, howdy to all and hope to hear from some of my old "compadres."

new netcongalumni.com
Thanks to Ken Jr and Kristopher and One Advertising for taking over the website. I'm looking forward
to the tutorial so I know how to use the site correctly. I hope I don't do anything that will cause
them to stand in the corner. I see there hasn't be a lot posted lately. I know the site is designed to
be secure. Are there anyplans to let registered secure users see who has registered by class year?
Happy New Year to all.
